About

We are Umpqua Valley Modelers. We are an AMA Chartered Club for all classes of model aircraft. We are a recent composite of three clubs, Lane County, Douglas County, and Umpqua Valley Modelers. We are blessed with three flying sites. One, the Wilbur Quarry location, between Roseburg & Sutherlin. A smaller site with a closely mowed grass runway for micro to medium airplanes. And the Kingery Ranch location, just off the I5 in Yoncalla. An excellent facility for any type of aircraft. A geo-tex fabric runway with a grass surround allows for smooth takeoff and landing. There is an ample overfly area for the largest of creations. The 3rd is the Plat I Reservoir just east of Sutherlin. While the reservoir is open to us year round we must respect the fisherman on all but one weekend when we obtain the facility exclusively for our annual float-fly event.
